Rajinikanth New Movie Petta Review
Rajinkanth hasn’t taster success post Robo. Lingaa, Vikram Simha and Kaala was bitten dust. While Kabali managed to do well in Tamil Territory, 2.o met the expectations only in Hindi-speaking States.
Kaali (Rajinikanth) joins as a hostel warden in a college and helps a young pair with their love story which keeps getting into problems all the time. But there is more than that meets the eye as Kaali was saving the couple with a purpose. Who is this Kaali? What is his flashback? and how are Nawazuddin Siddique, Vijay Setupati, Trisha and Simran was connected to the whole story. To know the answers you need to watch the film on big screen.
Rajinikanth thrills the fans with one of his best looks and terrific screen presence. There are ample moments which enthrall his Fan Base in this movie.
Nawazuddin Siddique was done pretty well but the role he did wasn’t up to his statue.
Vijay Sethupathi does a nice job but he too deserves a much better role. Sasikumar was alright.
Anirudh Ravichander made the most out of the opportunity to compose music for Rajinikanth Flick for the first time. Songs and Background Score have a huge asset to Petta. Camera Work by Thiru was worth mentioning. Director Karthik Subbaraj on Pizza fame disappoints.
Movie Lovers wonder what made Rajinikanth accept such an outdated story while watching Petta. Everyone expected the combination of Rajinikanth & Karthik Subbaraj to be sensational.
Nothing Much Of Regular Audience
Fans of Rajini was a general complaint that they were missing the trademark Rajini and his fans moments as he was playing mostly mature roles. Director Karthik Subbaraj was showcased all those thrills in high spiritss which will please the hard core fans.
