The film director Mahi V Raghava directed this film to be followed by the role of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, the late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Malayalam Megastar Mammutty plays the role of YS Rajasekhar Reddy in this film.
The story is all about how the state of farmers in the state with the rule of Chandrababu in J & K in Andhra Pradesh begins. In this state, the problems of peasantry and people suffer from the misery of the YSR. On this occasion he goes to people and finds their troubles. Yatra is a two-hour documentary which attempts to cater YSRCP’s political needs than being a Rajanna’s biopic. First half is somewhat decent, but the director takes too much cinematic liberties in a movie that was supposed to be story of a real leader.
